Battlefield V launches Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes update with smaller squad battles

Battlefield V is starting the new year with a new multiplayer update for its Tides of War live operations series. The Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes update goes live on Tuesday, January 15, as a free downloadable content (DLC) update.Included is Squad Contest, a tighter and more intense version of the 64-player Conquest battle that allows more tactical online matches between two teams of eight players each on the Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada maps. This adds a fast-action, Call of Duty-style mode to Battlefield V’s fighting repertoire.The update will have four new weapons: the Zk-383 SMG (Medic class); the Modele 1944 semi-automatic rifle (Assault class); the M1922 MMG (Support class); and the Mk. III bolt-action rifle (Recon class).A new Grand Operation, called Battle of Hannut, will also come with Chapter 2. Set in the French and Belgian countryside, players will fight it out in Airborne, Breakthrough, and  for the first time in a Grand Operation Rush mode.
