New video streaming coming to library

If you are looking to keep your child occupied in the airport, or on long road trips, then you will probably be happy to learn that they will be able to watch movies from where ever they are. It is all made possible by the Peoria Public Library! The library has made it their goal to provide streaming services from home. Right now you can download books from their website, but starting tomorrow you will be able to stream videos from a new program called “Kanopy.” It offers films of all genres, including educational options for kids.“We’re finding that for libraries to keep pace for what patrons need, here in the 21st Century, we need to be providing streaming videos,” said Executive Director with Peoria Public Library, Randall Yelverton.Yelverton said it is easy to use and there is no cost. In order to use the service, you have to be a Peoria resident and will need a library card. You can download the app on iTunes, google play, Amazon, or check out their website.
