Nominations Are Now Open For The VR Awards 2019

For the last three years, the VR Awards have been recognising and celebrating the best in virtual reality (VR), from the latest videogames and hardware to the studios and companies that build them and more. Today, the nominations are now open for this year’s awards, with a range of categories to fill. Overseen by The Academy of International Extended Reality’s (AIXR) independent VR Advisory panel, the VR Awards 2019 features the following 12 categories:VR Hardware of the Year,VR Game of the Year,VR Experience of the Year,VR Film of the Year. “Celebrating innovation and outstanding achievement at the VR Awards is key to ensuring that pioneering projects are recognised and given a platform for their achievements. We’re presenting the very best virtual reality has to offer and year on year the quality of nominations exceed our expectations,” said Daniel Colaianni, Chief Executive of AIXR in a statement. The nominations close on 7th May, after which a panel of 80 expert judges will shortlist the nominees with the finalists announced on 18th June 2019.
