According to a 2017 PricewaterhouseCoopers survey of media & entertainment CEOs  75% of executives list technological change as one of the things that keep them awake at night. Over the last five years or so, this dynamic has forced most streaming video producers to support multiple adaptive streaming technologies, and to transition on the desktop from Flash to HTML5-based technologies.
