With top-of-the-line headsets like the Oculus Quest and the Valve Index now on the market, many users want to know whether the PSVR is even worth the buy. There are a few factors to consider before purchasing the PSVR. Sony is known for its exclusive games, and PSVR is absolutely apart of this perk. Moss, Farpoint, Firewall: Zero Hour, and Resident Evil 7 are just a few of the current games that can only be played on PlayStation VR. More recently, and most importantly, among that list are Blood and Truth, and Astro Bot: Rescue Mission.

News of the upcoming event comes as Microsoft shared the full specs for its new Xbox Series X just a day ago, and as Sony has already provided information on the power of the PlayStation 5 back in 2019. The PS5, with its eight-core CPU and custom GPU, will support 4K gaming at 120Hz, 8K resolutions, and 3D audio, while featuring a speedy SSD and lower power consumption option.

IDC:AR/VR market will still see eventual growth in 2020

AR/VR market will see a 10.5% decline in the first quarter of 2020, followed by a 24.1% decline in the second due to supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, according to IDC.However, IDC’s ‘Worldwide Quarterly Augmented and Virtual Reality Headset Tracker’ states that assuming production ramps back up by midyear, a rebound in the second half of 2020 will result in total shipments of nearly 7.1 million units for the year, up 23.6% from 2019. Long-term growth will be strong throughout the forecast period with shipments growing to 76.7 million units in 2024, resulting in a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 81.5%.
