Live Sports And Entertainment App NextVR Arrives On Steam

Ever since the launch on Samsung Gear VR way back in 2015, NextVR has produced immersive sporting content for the likes of the National Hockey League (NHL), National Football league (NFL) and National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as many more. Since those early days, the company has greatly expanded operations, announcing this weekend that its VR app is now available through Steam. Via Steam Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) users can now download the app for free – it has been available on Oculus Store and Viveport – reaching a much bigger audience than their respective stores.“NextVR is driven to engage the largest possible audience to experience our content in virtual reality,” said David Cole, NextVR CEO. “Steam is a critically important platform to reach active virtual reality users. We’re excited to put our unparalleled live sports and entertainment experiences at the fingertips of the vibrant Steam user-base.”NextVR uses its own in-house technology to provide either record or live-streamed 360-degree content, putting you courtside for live free preview NBA League Pass games, plus access replays, highlights and more on-demand features. Or get on the ice for top NHL hockey highlights, step n the ring for WWE and boxing matches or find yourself in the front row for concerts, and stand-up comedy gigs. You can also explore haunted locations with Paranormal Evidence investigations.
