Entertainment providers come in all shapes and sizes these days and all share one thing in common: connectivity. The web creates a new connected entertainment environment - the task for publishers and media companies is to monetise their output in this dynamic ecosystem. Consumers are in control now. The TV is still at the heart of entertainment, but consumers want to watch what they want, when they want and on the device they want. We discuss how television has changed to reflect this new environment. OTT is not a panacea - there are a multitude of challenges.
