Vuzix Corporation

Vuzix Corporation (Vuzix), a supplier of smart glasses, Augmented Reality (AR) technology and products, has recently launched Android 11 support for its enterprise smart glasses, which are Vuzix Shield™, Vuzix Blade 2™, Vuzix M400™, and Vuzix M4000™.

Its advanced Operating System (OS), with Android 11 support, offers a more secure platform, enhanced user experience for enterprise customers, effortless integration with Mobile Device Management (MDM) software packages, and access to the latest android features within third-party applications. This OS provides users with updated android security, required security patches, and connectivity to the WPA3 Wi-Fi protocol, a Wi-Fi security standard, for its products with 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.

In addition, this update would enhance device management across different MDM software platforms like Microsoft InTune and Workspace One, improving enterprise-ready performance and security. The admins can enroll new devices into their platforms with advanced MDM compatibility. The IT departments can effortlessly configure Vuzix devices and hardware properties and manage compliance within a fraction of a second, empowering enterprise-level companies with high-level security, large-scale glasses' onboarding in a streamlined fashion, and central location management.

President and CEO of Vuzix, Paul Travers said, "Vuzix is continuously striving to offer our smart glasses customers the best user experience in the market." He added, "As a direct response to extensive user feedback sessions, the implementation of Android 11 of our smart glasses increases their ease of use by supporting expanded voice commands for streamlined navigation and control selections on the interface. In addition, system icons have been revamped to make it easier to differentiate and discern under any conditions."
