Control confirmed as next-gen title for PS5 and Xbox Scarlett

Control, the supernatural thriller by Remedy Entertainment that released earlier this year, will be coming to next-gen consoles. In an interview with PlayStation Magazine, members of the Control development team clarified they were working on bringing the game to the PS5 and Xbox Project Scarlett, and that the jump in hardware capability would be game-changing for the titles they crate. Lead Programmer Sean Donnelly spoke glowingly of the increased freedom for developers with more powerful hardware: "With the extra burden of a detailed destruction system, it’s safe to say we hit the limit on what could be achieved on older CPUs. When it comes to the PS5, faster hardware is always appreciated and will make life easier in the short term.
