Allied Industrial Partners Acquires CAT Entertainment Services

Allied Industrial Partners LLC, a private equity firm focused on the industrial sector, announced today the acquisition of CAT Entertainment Services, a market leader in specialty mobile power generation, power distribution, and temperature control services. The acquisition is a turn from Ring Power Corporation, one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the United States, which will retain a minority stake in the company. The company, which will be renamed CES Power, will be headed by co-founder Greg Landa as CEO, assisted by the existing leadership team. The transaction's financial details were not disclosed.
CES Power, founded in 2000 and currently based in Memphis, TN, has a long history of providing reliable and safe power solutions to its blue-chip client base. The company provides a detailed variety of technology-driven power services to the broadcasting, entertainment, emergency response, and industrial sectors, as well as services for the world's most complex and high-profile events. Recent CES projects include the NFL Draft in 2021 and the NCAA Final Four tournament in 2021, as well as numerous stadium touring acts and the world's biggest music festivals.
Over the last eight months, AIP has deployed and allocated more than $100 million in capital across two platforms. In addition, AIP launched Dovetail Infrastructure Services in November 2020 with the acquisition of the Aqua Pipeline, a large-scale water pipeline in northeast Pennsylvania acquired as part of divestiture from a large publicly listed utility.
AIP's financial adviser was Eaton Partners, a Stifel business, and its legal counsel was Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
