Amagi Announced the Release
Amagi, a worldwide pioneer in cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and connected TV, announced the release of an improved version of Amagi LIVE, its premium live orchestration platform. The cloud-based technology allows content owners to launch channels or manage broadcast-quality live events quickly. Additionally, it provides unmatched cloud-based Master Control capabilities for orchestrating Breaking News and multi-event live sports processes. It may be controlled remotely from any location on Earth through a simple online dashboard.

Since 2018, Amagi has been an industry leader in providing 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) broadcasting via the cloud to content makers. In 2021, the 'live' capability was enabled in time for the Tokyo Olympics. Since then, the technology has enabled multiple top-tier news and sports broadcasters to provide customers with high-quality live programming augmented with improved visuals.

Linear OTT to Address the increasing appetite for sports & news
News consumption has exploded on OTT and Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) platforms, now accounting for 56 percent of total content consumption. In addition, 30% of cable TV subscribers have shown a strong desire to cut the cord if they can get their favorite news and sports programming through over-the-top (OTT) services. According to the stats, live video streaming is primed for explosive expansion in the following months/years.

Amagi LIVE orchestrates various live production-master-control tasks for 24/7 live, linear channel operators, particularly 24/7 news and sports channels, including switching between up to four feeds during a single live event production and advanced 4K UHD delivery, including tone mapping.
