MyndVR 2.0 And HTC Vive Focus Bring VR To Senior Citizens

Consumer virtual reality (VR) is suitable for all age ranges, from the young to the old, yet senior citizens may struggle to learn about the technology and accessing the right content. Which is where MyndVR comes in, helping provide solutions for senior care communities. The company has just announced the launch of MyndVR 2.0, which has been helped by a partnership with HTC’s VIVE X accelerator. MyndVR looks to provide VR experiences to seniors revolving around meaningful content with a purpose. The company’s library of content spans travel, music, art, nature and reminiscence therapies through a strategic partnership with Littlstar. Then there’s MyndVR Studios which is creating content in-house for specific age-related conditions.“Our goal is to lift the quality of life and the spirits of the senior citizens across the country,” said Chris Brickler, co-founder and CEO of MyndVR in a statement. “We have the ability to bring in a super-engaging technology to these folks – more engaging than TV, more engaging than newspapers. This is a true immersive technology that provides joy and takes people out of the four walls of their existence.”
