Skybound, an entertainment solutions provider, has recently declared investments in video game development companies, Telltale and Mega Cat Studios and launched a public investment opportunity through regulation A+ for global expansion.
It finalized a substantial investment in The Mega Cat Studios, a video game developer with retro ethos and innovation, and a strategic investment in Telltale, an independent developer and publisher of licensed and original IP games. These companies have a reputation for excellent player experience worldwide. Through investments in these companies, Skybound would expand its publishing footprint and enhance its position as a partner of top game-making talents and creative teams.
It has also launched a public investment opportunity for fans through regulation A+, a securities registration exemption. Through this regulation, anyone has the power to invest in a private company before any potential liquidity event like an acquisition or IPO. It got a significant response on the Republic investing platform, with more than $12 million in revenue growth within weeks of its launch. Republic praised the success of this campaign as a grand launch on its site till now.
Skybound and Telltale have previously collaborated for the production of the famous ‘The Walking Dead’ video game series. It became so famous in the industry that it was rewarded with “Game of the Year” many times, and for BAFTA Video Game Awards of “Best Story” twice and globally sold episodes at a large scale. For Skybound, Mega Cat Studios is developing WrestleQuest, an RPG adventure that is a licensed roster of iconic wrestling legends.
