Strong/MDI Screen Systems Collaborates with Illuminarium Atlanta to Provide an Immersive Cinematic Virtual Reality Experience

Strong/MDI Screen Systems, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ballantyne Strong, Inc. and a global leader in projection screen manufacturing and optical coating development for cinemas, commercial venues, and amusement parks (“Strong/MDI”) announces a partnership with Illuminarium Experiences to open their first location in Atlanta, Georgia.

WILD, presented by Illuminarium Atlanta, uses cutting-edge technology to immerse visitors in the watering holes, sweeping plains, and majestic landscapes of Africa, allowing them to come “face to face” with the world’s most exotic animals. Strong/MDI created the proprietary, high contrast Orion optical coating that was applied to all of the projection walls within the venue and the patented speaker panels that allow audio to penetrate through a solid projection surface with minimal distortion invisible to the human eye.
