Warner Music Inks a TV-Focused Imprint With Cloudco Entertainment

The multi-season deal will cover music released from the hit Hulu original series, Holly Hobbie.  The show’s theme song is the first single released, with other tracks following throughout the summer. The full soundtrack will be available starting September 5th. WMG’s Arts Music division has been busy securing partnerships, with an eye towards expanding into the fast-growing TV arena.  That includes both synch and subsequent audio distribution, with a burgeoning OTT television space fueling the growth.  Last year the division teamed up with Sesame Workshop to re-launch Sesame Street Records in the US and Canada. Holly Hobbie is a modern revival of a classic character, with the show debuting last autumn. CBBC in the UK will carry the show’s season 1 premiere later this summer. Holly Hobbie offers positive messages about friendship, family, and following your heart through original music.  The show creates a safe environment for pre-teens to discover original music.  That’s a welcome alternative to YouTube and the internet, increasingly a minefield for parents. WMG launched its Arts Music division in 2017 as the home for releases spanning multiple genres. The division offers releases in jazz, children’s music, musical theatre, film scores, and more.
