Cloud AR/VR Streaming: Accelerate mass adoption and improve quality of experience of AR/VR using 5G and edge cloud

March 25, 2019

Currently, to fully appreciate the benefits of Virtual Reality applications such as gaming, users require expensive hardware, i.e. a high-end PC or gaming console and a head mounted display (HMD). This is because VR applications require a large amount of processing power and storage mainly for visualization of the virtual scenery in order to enable truly immersive experiences. As a result, users of VR are confined to a particular location and mass market adoption is so far rather low due to the high entry barriers such as equipment costs.

Dell Streaming Data Platform: Architecture, Configuration, and Considerations

whitePaper | January 3, 2023

The Internet of Things (IoT) brings the promise of new possibilities, but to unlock them, organizations must change how they think about data. With the emergence of IoT, there is a new class of applications that processes streaming data from sensors and devices that are spread around the globe. In theory, the solution is simple: turn massive amounts of data into real-time insights by immediately processing and analyzing it in a continuous and infinite fashion. However, managing streaming IoT data is not that simple. Legacy infrastructure is not made to support IoT data streaming from millions of data sources with varying datatypes. The world of streaming IoT requires a shift to the world of real-time applications consuming continuous and infinite streams.

UNCOMPRESSED MEDIA OVER IP ON AMAZON WEBSERVICES (AWS)

whitePaper | September 22, 2022

As part of the ongoing transition to Internet Protocol (IP) networks for media workflows, the media and entertainment industry has developed new IP standards for transporting broadcast signals. This white paper offers guidance to help broadcasters and media organizations transition to IP, and demystifies common misconceptions when using the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) 2110 standards and associated IP infrastructure. It provides details explaining why organizations transition from traditional Serial Digital Interface (SDI) to IP workflows using SMPTE 2110 standards and covers important topics related to workflow design, synchronization, and clocking, including relevant standards to support uncompressed contribution.

B5G Technology White Paper

whitePaper | November 1, 2022

We have tracked 5G trials and commercial deployments, enablers such as 5G spectrum deployments, and the impact of 5G on operators’ supplier decisions. We have carried out this work because 5G is the latest generation of mobile broadban technology, but also because of the high hopes around 5G in terms of addressing ever-increasing demand for data and helping operators enable (and create value from) the digital transformation of enterprises.

ARC Whitepaper

whitePaper | January 1, 2023

The development of Web3 has traditionally been a slow and tedious process. It’s plagued by communication problems between technical and non-technical team members. Moreover, web3 (not unlike web2) is littered with malicious and bad actors exploiting seemingly unavoidable security flaws and oversights. ARC’s development ecosystem offers solutions for speed, cost, scalability, and security. ARC achieves this through our suite of tools that make product development and deployment easier and more secure, each in its own unique way. Our development ecosystem not only streamlines the way web3 applications get developed but also has far-reaching implications on the way data gets managed across the web.
