At CES this evening we launched new GPUs for gamers around the world, revealed new GPUs powering a record number of gaming laptops and extended our G-SYNC line of gaming monitors.We’re also showing new games and demos featuring RTX ray tracing and DLSS technology. Blockbusters Battlefield V and Anthem are adding RTX DLSS. Justice and Atomic Heart showed new tech demos featuring ray tracing and DLSS, and a 3DMark ray-tracing benchmark is coming to test GeForce RTX’s mettle.We showed how our family of GeForce RTX GPUs delivers great performance on the games you play today.

Facebook Continues Virtual-Reality Gaming Push With New Acquisition

Facebook's Oculus division announced on Tuesday that it acquired Sanzaru Games, a video game company known for working on titles in the Sly Cooper and Spyro the Dragon franchises. Sanzaru also has experience developing virtual-reality (VR) games, having released titles exclusively for Facebook's Oculus platform including VR Sports Challenge and Ripcoil in 2016 and Asgard's Wrath in 2019. Sanzaru was the first developer to partner with Oculus in making games, so it's not surprising to see it become part of the broader Facebook family. Facebook hinted that it would buy additional VR development companies when it acquired Beat Games in November, and additional acquisitions could follow soon after the Sanzaru deal.

Google’s next streaming player will reportedly run Android TV and come with a remote

Microsoft’s xCloud game streaming arrives on iOS with some Apple restrictions

Microsoft is expanding its Project xCloud service to the iPhone today. The software giant is launching a beta of xCloud through Apple’s TestFlight service, allowing xCloud testers to try the service on an iPhone or iPad. It’s the first time we’ve seen a cloud game streaming service appear on iOS since the days of OnLive — and OnLive’s iOS app wound up in limbo when Apple didn’t approve it. Google’s Stadia and Nvidia’s GeForce Now are still not available on Apple’s devices, either, and neither company has been able to tell us when that might change.
