How Disney built their streaming analytics pipeline on AWS

Video streaming is providing content creators direct data on consumer behavior like never before. However, without the proper pipeline from viewer to database, deriving insights about customer preferences and engagement can take days or weeks.In a session at the Strata Data Conference in San Jose in May 2018, Adam Ahringer, manager of software data engineering at Disney ABC Television Group (DATG), spoke about the different approaches DATG considered in building their real-time analytics platform before deciding to leverage AWS with Lambda and Kinesis Firehose.
